Wrath mortgage advice please.

Some context:

Er indoors has found a house that she likes.

I don't like to upset her.

The bit I need to know:

Can I afford a £550 mortgage on 37k a year?

She earns a bit more but only works three days a week.

No debts or extravagances, but three small brats.

I don't trust the mortgage people one bit. Hence getting my advice from an entirely unrelated internet forum.
