We don't bowl an aggressive enough line when the wicket is flat(ish)

I watched boult/southee's opening 6 overs on Saturday night and turned it off because I could see what would happen as they were really targeting the stumps whereas we generally for slip catches ,ie a line about 3 inches outside off peg.when you watched those two you realise how good Anderson is and how much we miss him,so yes there is an issue there.what got me in the first innings was losing 3 wickets to De Grandolme,a tidy cricketer but after you've seen off southern boult and wagner ,to let him nick our middle order out is criminal.
