Not saying I think we should do it at all. Agree with your point below about the possible repercussions of subsequent relegation etc. But if we were to go up and then establish ourselves in the prem somehow, we could aim to get persistently higher crowds, maybe. Including drawing more youngsters in, who would become 'actual fans'.

That said, I also think there's still the possibility that football in general is due a bubble-bursting moment, and lots of clubs might be left with too much capacity, whatever divisions they're in.

I dunno what the right answer is.
