I have a scientific /legal job...

In which it takes around 7 years to train.

I spent around the same time after that training others, and now manage a large team of specialists.

There are opportunities to earn a lot more elsewhere (in the county, in the world) but the current place allows me to work flexi and part time and is very supportive. Important for me at this stage of my life.

Most jobs these days work better for shorter stints, and I'm aware my industry is an outlier.

I'd expect my kid to have at least two or three different careers in her life. I reckon the same might be true for me too, just more at the back end of it than throughout.
