Is there any chance this confidence vote in May is part of a plan?
It doesn;t appear that the ERG can win it, she's then safe for a year and it possibly galvanises support behind May. Could it be that some May sypathetic MP's submitted letters to take it over the 48 thinking best to do this now and get it out the way. also slightly takes the wind out of labour's sails.
