Its this sort of situation with Webber that makes me a little nervous about the

amount of control one man (or couple) have over matters at the club.

I'm not convinced he would go at this point to a club who actually don;t seem to need the sort of rebuild he has made his name for and to be honest I'm not sure that a lot of what he has done is rocket science but we have Webber appointees/people in virtually every key role at the club, it sounds like his wife does all our contracts and deals with the players agents and we have a manager, recruited by him, who is out of contract at the end of the season and is no doubt being noticed by other clubs. Webber being poached could be hugely disruptive/destructive at a time when things are going very well which is ironic because of course the whole point of having a sporting director is to enable the club to continue to run with the minimum of disruption if the manager/coach gets sacked or moves on.
