I actually do think he’s a decent (ish) manager but he needs good coaches with him.

With us it helped that we really were a cut above the division we were in. I think despite the 7-1 even Gunn would probably have got us into the playoffs. Once he had momentum the next two seasons were an incredible achievement.

The problem he has at the moment is that their squad really is very poor and the fans hate him before he’s started. He needs 2-3 wins in the first 5 games to have any chance.
