Conventional wisdom seems to be that he is some kind of managerial genius. What is that based on? In nearly 1,000 games over 25 years he has won just two things. He has presided over a continuing fall in Scum's attendances - even though they were at a historic low when he joined. Hardly surprising given the dreary football which is sides play. I hope they keep him in charge forever, but even they probably aren't that daft.
