I have a question (spoilers)

How come the lads from the Moon Door Kingdom accept Littlefinger as their king? I can't remember exactly what happened, but did he somehow get the Queens lad onside with him and basically he's using him like a puppet and calling the shots, or did he kill him and make Sansa queen?

Pls clarify as it pissed me off when Sansa said they needed him. He's a s**thead.
