Steeno has a tree question....

I have a 2 year old white birch tree in my garden. It's now 11/12ft tall and that's about the height I want it. I have trimmed the side lower branches off.

My question is - if I keep chopping the height will I still get a canopy

Ideally I would like 12ft tree with canopy that starts at 9ft.
