last night in Manchester opens up the debate

how do you protect people at events like last nights concert or anywhere large groups of people are leaving an event

you get searched going into a event but my perception is that once the event is over the danger of a possible incident has passed and the main job is to get people away from the area as quickly as possible

those of you that have been to Wembley for example would probably have experienced the stop/go on the way back to the tube station literally 1000's of people standing still waiting for the platforms to clear so that they can catch their train , literally sitting ducks to a determined idiot with no thought for his own well being
