I have a mate is exactly the same situation....

Over last few years he's lost/built up tens of thousands of pounds in debt - all down to on line gambling. Its a pure addiction and once he's down he chases the money. He works every waking hour to keep up with other payments and to give his family a normal life. His wife doesnt know anything about his debts - he's worried she'll leave him and so he is living in fear amd shame. Those of us that know help as much as we can - we pay for dive trips, concerts, beer and other stuff so he doesnt miss out on 'normal things' in an effort to persuade him that he is better off spending his money on tjese fun social activities rather than gambling - but alas he cant chamge his ways.

We really fear for him but you cant help someone who doesnt want to help themselves - so congratulations on your post - you KNOW gambling jas beco,e a proble, for yourself amd thats the forst step, recognizing you have a problem before it gets too deep.

My suggestion would be to seek professional help NOW whilst the problem is relatively small amd you're not in too deep.

Best of luck x
