As Coronary Care is my thing, I'd stress that an ECG is purely a snapshot & a 'normal' one certainly doesn't exclude coronary artery disease. This is even more true if taken when the person doesn't have the chest pain/discomfort. Angiography, or CTCA, is necessary if the symptoms are suggestive of angina.
We regularly see patients come in with MIs who've been treated by GPs, often for weeks/months, for 'indigestion'.
