And giving him large amounts of money would, I think, have been a mistake. (Still not sure about Vernazza, btw - don't remember him doing much anywhere).
Hamilton (much like Souness :P) was terrible at PR (Public Relations, not Portman Road - wasn't too bad there!) - Worthington generally comes across as a likeable, honest, if someone conservative and unexciting man, whereas Hamilton always struck me as blinkered, arrogant and deluded. Matter of opinion, of course, but it does make a difference I think.
It's definitely time for Worthington to go - has been since the autumn - and it's a shame it's got so heated. But that's the situation - we'll see what happens.
(By the way, I wouldn't mind Nigel Clough) ...
