any mechanics on board? I've been pissballing about all day trying to start a rotovator

Could have dug the patch of ground up and used less energy up.

All i've managed to do is change the park plug, drain and replace the fuel, check plug for sparky spark and sparking ok but still no worky.

Clean air filter, still no worky, pour capful of petrol direct into carb and worky little bit then no worky. This leads me to deduce that the carb float needle is stuck as no fuel getting through to piston unless i pour some in. So tomorrow i'm going to dismantlyise the carburettor and clean it out right? Maybe not, maybe just hire one that works.

Or, could it be suffern else? i'm thinking if the thing actually briefly fires up and then croaks then it must be the carburettor no?
