been doing a bit of cycling over past couple of years, then did a 3 mile run with no train

ing, having done no running since i were the errant toddler.

while doing the run i was physically absolutely fine. Speed wise i wasn't great, but i was better than some of the village's daily joggers and the cycling meant that my stamina was pretty good too.

the next day however, f**king hell my legs hurt. For about the next week the only time they stopped aching was when i was on the bike and pedalling.

this year i'm going to do a few short training runs beforehand...
