Would you have said Lambert was a good fit before we got him?

He was pretty arrogant, ambitious and ruthlessly single minded. And is arguably our most successful manager of all time.

So was MIKE WALKER.

I think we just need someone who is competent tactically and can drill some kind of positional discipline into the players. Hodgson would be great, but I'm sure Allardyce would have us up near the top of the league as well - good fit or not for the club.
