All successful managers have to 'fit' their football club. Those two individuals couldn't less fit NCFC. It'd be a disaster in either case I think.
By contrast, those who say "not Hodgson, cos he was crap in his last job" ignore that a) Hodgson was good in run-of-the-mill games, very good actually; but more importantly, b) he had to be a very good manager to get the England job in the first place.
Good enough to manage England (and go unbeaten in all qualifying games), Switzerland, Inter Milan, take Fulham to a European final, firmly establish West Brom in the Prem... but not good enough for a Championship club? You're having a laugh. Rafa Benitez was crap in his last job too. Funny, that.
Lambert? Appeals to the romantic in me, would bring back an instant feelgood factor if we won his first couple of games. But I think Villa broke him, much like Everton broke Mike Walker. He's not the same hungry, ambitious manager he once was at all.
