Any of you seasoned travellers used China Airlines?

Going to see eldest in NZ at xmas and flights are either 5K with Singapore Airlines which are highly rated or 3K with KLM+ China Air and 2K is a lot of spending dosh.

I've flown with Klm and China airlines from Skipol to Asia. Klm better but China okay
