I think managers are overrated

Generally speaking. They can only do so much in terms of coaching players and tactics.

Mentally they can have an impact though, and AN doesn't appear to have that ability to gee up, inspire, or educate our team.

I think a few of us have bought into the 'promising young manager schtick' a bit too readily, but I'd judge him at Christmas and see where we are.
