Yes it was pretty end to end until we scored, but from then on we just bossed the match completely, it was like watching some brilliant continental team hold a plucky English team at arms length when the novelty of European competition returned to English football in the early 90's (and before every man and his fixie bike knew every single players pass completion stats and FIFA scorecardings)
And this was against a team who'd done the same to us only a couple of months earlier.
I'd never trade that fantastic day for the club getting an extra ?70m or whatever it is next season over this seasons telly payola.
You support a team, you want to go see them play well and win matches and win things; inspirational and joyous scenes to witness and be part of - making memories that you'll take to the grave.
I'm not going to get all misty eyed over a f**king spreadsheet in 12 months saying we accrued this much more money compared to 72 other football clubs for a specific period of time. I'm bloody not.
