Same as if the club gets rid of the manager now. It depends on the alternatives.
Earlier this season, the best Norwich City Chairman of my lifetime left. Now, the best Norwich City Chief Executive of my lifetime (with a hat tip to Gordon Bennett for his remedial work after the Fat Controller's reign of terror) has followed. I don't think McNally has been the same over the last 2 or 3 years; I think the job wore him down to be honest. It is time for a change - but he certainly leaves with my gratitude and best wishes.
The only thing I can't fathom is: why right now? Why before we've been relegated, not afterwards? I find that weird. We threw the towel in at Chelsea two seasons ago; it'd be a huge pity if we do the same ahead of our last 2 games now.
But assuming we go down... well, it's crossroads time again, isn't it? And the joint majority shareholders aren't getting any younger. I hope I'm wrong, but this feels like the end of an era.
