It is hard to compare those miscarriages of justice with rape cases which, by their very nature, are fraught with difficulty. Are people sure he raped her? But then, are people sure she consented? Can either be proved?

However, some observers are unwavering in their support of Evans based on the square root of f**k all and that is what many find distasteful.

The retrial won't provide any answers. Just another decision.
