I just don't agree about the timing thing. They've know for two weeks that they were GOING to sell Ashton and that it was GOING to be for at least ?6m. Those were givens. In that situation, you rush round to Colchester and do a deal before they know how much you've got coming. That probably wouldn't work with Cardiff (too fly) but it probably would with Colchester.

Anyway, too late now.
