ah, the joys of living in a liberal yet small 'c' concervative society

Quite frankly, beyond an interest in salacious gossip, who really cares what consenting adults get up to in the privacy of their own homes/dining clubs?

Conversely, it's not very British to refuse to sing the anthem and show respect to veterans etc*.

It's why a Corbyn-led Labour party is screwed - rightly or wrongly the UK (and Middle England) just doesn't 'do' his brand of politics. That, and the Establishment (be it corporate, political or social) will hamstring him at every opportunity as he represents the biggest threat to the status quo that this country will ever produce at the ballot box in the modern era.

(*FAOD, I'm no Corbyn fan but I love his maverick streak, and would prefer to see more of his republican spirit on show, not less.)
