Oh, and of course

You HAVE to see the Sagrada Familia. Incredible sight (and the KFC opposite boasts the best view of any fast food restaurant I've ever been to!).

Gothic Quarter is gorgeous (the Irish pub is almost there as well). Try Tapas - fantastic stuff there. Castle Montjuic is a bit of a disappointment given the effort to get up there but you do get good views. Also recommend the Gaudi flats, etc.

Fantastic city. Enjoy it and make sure you explore - don't stay in that hotel room !

Another tip is - if you're not sure, get a taxi. Dirt cheap compared to other places but beware that the price on the meter will increase about 40 % once he stops for "city tax".....
