I wasn't originally looking at a 4k TV

There was an offer on Groupon for a 50" 3D HD LED Samsung smart TV. Looks good to me, but now I've been I to the shops - both sales guys have said that I'd be buying a mildly better version of my current TV with 4k set to be big. What I don't know, is when it will be big. The LG I was looking at in 4k is twice the price of the Samsung
