To be fair to Hughton he has had to play Fer deeper whilst Tettey and Howson have been

injured.

He also experimented with him behind the striker in pre-season (and perhaps even early in the season).

By all accounts Fer also needed a rest - his performances have dipped recently.

So saying he has "destroyed" Fer is a touch melodramatic.
