don't think anyone would really argue with that. it was a good squad.

one or two that wouldn't get in it now - maybe Keown, Rob Lee, Paul Merson. And in the starting XI - Cole is better than Le Saux, Lampard (on form) better than Ince, and Rooney could be better than anyone there, but conversely we would kill for a Shearer.

But overall not that diffferent - but we knew that was a good squad at the time, didn't we?
