Is that Lambert must have asked for that clause to be put in his contract.

"I'll sign a new deal but I want a clause in it that says if any Prem club wants to speak to me, you have to let me".

Not "top 6 club" or specificed clubs. "Any" Prem cloub-so he would have wanted to have spoken, given the chance, to Wigan, Wolves, QPR etc etc?

Sounds a bit "I'm here until I get the first chance to leave" to me-and, again, puts Rogers and Swansea in a bit of persepective.

Now of course, if we had said "no" to that clause and he'd buggered off-well...however, it doesn't sound the attitude of a man you want to invest in re.time, money and resources.
