The kid in question was uninvolved in any of the recent strife

I know this because he's currently behind bars, again. And yes, taking a simple overview, it was down to Andy and his wife to try to restrain the young monster, and they did try, very hard, while simultaneously bringing up the other three (the kid in q is one of the middle ones btw).

But the kid's a wrong 'un. There wasn't much more Andy could do. He tried various tacks: talk, strictness, counselling etc. The kid placed a higher value on crime than on family.
