Are you senior to whoever it was that brought them in?

I suppose lot depends on what your workplace is, and what the environment is like. If it's an industrial setting and the lad with the cakes works heavy machinery get him out as soon as possible.

If it happened here I'd ignore it, really wouldn't worry me at all: clever bunch of people, all responsible adults, etc etc.
