My brief thoughts on Roeder and the board

1. Did a good job last season in keeping us up.

2. Has had no money to spend in the transfer market, but the players that he has brought in have got quality about them (Clingan, Hoolihan and Dejan).

3. Due to the lack of funds, has had to get loans in, most of which have been pretty decent.

4. If we did force him out, in my opinion, it makes us as bad as those Newcastle fans who seem to think they have a devine right to do well. Results haven't been good enough, his man management seems to leave something to be desired but he has been less than fortunate with decisions and injuries.

5. But, I do find it alarming that he says one thing and does another.

a. Last season we were told that pace, power and strength are everything in this league and we have probably the smallest team in the Championship.

b. We were also told that we could not play with 2 out and out wingers, yet croft and bell have both started most games recently and only missing out through illness.

6. Sacking Roeder is not the answer. Backing him to the hilt in January is a must. A big centre forward and two decent centre halves are a must.

7. Some of his loan signings have not been thought through. Were these players (OJ, Lupoli and Troy) only bought in to get numbers through the door with relatively little cost? They certainly don't fit the bill regarding strength and power (5a).

Finally the club owe a huge debt of gratitude to the loyal fans that travel the length and width of the country to support our beloved club.

We deserve better and we need the board to deliver in one way or another in the next 30 days.

Happy new year to you all!
