Looking at his past record is all well and good

But to be honest how relevant is it in today's management world?

Roeder's record is not good in any light, that much is obvious. But with Roeder you get a man who knows how to field an organised, motivated team and is liked and respected by everyone in the game.

Watch Norwich as of late and you realise they lack each and every of those aspects. We need a man that will quickly bring these elements back to our game, and in this respect I believe there's no better realistic appointment we could've made (excepting Jewell).
