And Bruce has been managing a much bigger club - where he was given lots of money in a bid to push on to Europe, yet instead led them back in the opposite direction, and was ridiculously lucky to keep his job. Also, Bruce has only ever joined a club which clearly had money to spend - at Fulham, Cookie had one of the lower budgets in the league.
