I think he was sacked because he isn't a yes man and Abramovich couldn't take having another bloke around with an ego the same size as his own

I also got the distinct impression that Mourinho was pissed off about having Schevchenko and Ballack foisted on him, and then not being allowed to buy players that he actually wanted/needed (like a centre back last Jan)

Of all the players he has brought to England the one I have enjoyed most is Essien. I know pants will now go off on one about how Essien is a violent thug, but I think he is one of the most talented players I have ever seen, just amazing.
