Thanks Steve - training is going almost too well so far

(Hope I’m not jinxing things)

Having trained last year for Brighton I am a year wiser as regards what works for me. And I am much stronger than a year ago as regards distance, heartrate and times. Two big races I did in Jan + early Feb I was significant quicker than 2024. Other two events still quicker bit less so - but the previous days I had less than ideal prep (30k one day and a full on running, hockey & tennis day the other ) so still pleased with how I did. Doing 60km+ per week now, probably won’t go too much above that.

My target is to get round safely, enjoy the day as it’s likely a once in a lifetime experience and not to blow up in last 5 miles. Hope to get around in four ot so hours if my old body lets me!

Cheers and thanks for the donation
Tim
