I’m finding it hard not to be negative when it comes to recruitment

It’s been obvious for a long time that there are huge gaps in the squad - centre forward to lead the line in the event of Sargent getting injured was so blindingly obvious yet that gap was never plugged.
We’ve been desperately unlucky with injuries too of course, but I’m not sure there was ever a Crnac or Schwartau shaped gap? (I’m sure both will get better and contribute more in time).
Now we are signing a winger for pretty significant cash, he will need time like Crnac and Schwartau to settle.
We will look back at this season with real frustration I think.
