we don't have the luxury of allowing players like Crnac, Forson and Schwartau to have a gentle introduction; we need them to be adapt to the demands of championship football instantly.

My worry with Crnac in particular is that the pressure on him is going to build and it'll make it very hard for him to develop.

It's going to take a couple of transfer windows to sort things out, but then that introduces more and more risk when we're selling sarge / sainz to fund those changes. The realistic outcome is a steady downgrade of the playing squad unless we get really lucky.
