IIRC he was just starting to show some glimpses and it ended

For weeks I wondered out loud why we were starting him (who wasn't ours) over Idah (who was) when he seemed no better, Idah was young and would at least benefit from the experience, etcetera. Then he did well once or twice and then he was gone. Obviously we wanted someone better than either of them to be starting but nonesuch was available to us at the time.
