I know someone who had a Husky thing.

Lovely looking dog but totally bonkers and unsuitable for her small house.

Whippet is a good shout. They don't need as much exercise as you might think. A friend of mine has a rescue one from Ireland. They fostered him for a few weeks to see how they got on. He's lovely. Chilled out, good with children but they have to be careful with him on walks as he can turn from being the most placid Fenton into Natural Born Killer-mode in an instant.

I've known a couple of Sausage Fentons. I've always wanted one of those. They did get a nibbly around excitable children.

My grandparents had Poodles. Stay away from those little bastards!

I think Martin Lewis suggested setting up a separate direct debit account rather than buying insurance. Bit of a gamble but he reckons it saves money more often than not. Personally I'd get comprehensive insurance as I've heard a few horror stories where bills have been around 10k!
