Where it gets tricky in sports betting is the degree of effect.
If you have non public injury information then you clearly have an edge but it's not perfect information.
The outcome is not guaranteed.
But with fixed events such as...next manager of a club...or next manager to get sacked...or date of a general election....having perfect information is essentially a license to print money.
Again, only stupid people get caught as it's clearly transparent what is going on.
