I genuinely hope things improve since I live here

but I genuinely think, bar bits and bobs, they won't, or they'll get worse.
People invest far, far too much hope in the ability of governments to do all sorts of stuff for them - all without any cost, except to someone else, someone rich, someone far away - possibly - ooh - a "corporation" - it is I think the central problem of the time - too many people in this country think it's up to someone else - it's very different indeed in other countries that I've experienced - change that, and everything will change
