Rex v Wagner.

Case for the Defence:
- Turned around the team’s form after an injury-created slump. No manager could have maintained a promo push minus Gunn, Hanley/Gibson & Sarge
- He has improved, without question: Rowe & Sainz, arguably McCallum & Nunez, and given Sarge, Sara & McLean roles in which they have flourished.
- He has introduced into the senior squad / bench a high number of U23 prospects, protecting them from exposure at too early a stage.
- City are a free-scoring side, with a higher ‘For’ total than 20/21 and also the promo seasons of 2003/4 & 2010/11
- City have become inventive at set-pieces.
- He has sent Jim into a state of frenzied agitation most matchdays.

Case for the Prosecution:
- He has been ultra-cautious on occasion, esp away from home.
- He was too slow to introduce Sainz and has blocked the pathway for youth.
- He has ignored Batth, badly mismanaged Idah and Gibbs & Springett have flat-lined.
- Defensively City are a mess, conceding goals for fun (though improved since xmas).
- He isn’t Farke & will forever be tarnished as ‘Webber’s Mate’
- He has sent Jim into a state of frenzied agitation most matchdays.
