I was disappointed with our tail off in form with the injuries.

But equally, I think we're seeing decent results now that players are back and some of the new faces are more settled (Sainz).

I don't think he's got masses of credit in the bank, but he's doing alright and the level of criticism he's facing is out of all proportion to the results and circumstances.

You defended Smith to the hilt on the back of xG. Great. I'm less convinced of that as a metric, but think that a good number of our players have improved both individually (and collectively) under Wagner. I thought, in the main, they were deteriorating under Smith.

Happy to have a debate with you on these kind of things, but you don't seem to go much deeper than you *think* we should be doing better on the basis of your promotion %ages (which seem to just be your gut feeling) or on the basis of xG, which, as previously discussed, seems to vary quite widely depending on who provides the stats input. Not much depth in that debate tho.

So maybe we should just agree to disagree.
