I don’t think we can give him much credit for results on the pitch

I always think of the influence of the sporting director being longer term, through good recruitment and good appointments. Everything has to come together in harmony.

I’m feeling hopeful about knapper, I like his style in interviews, unassuming but clearly has his own vision of things and ways of doing things. Fingers crossed.
