Story time with USAC......Long, get your learn on...haterz dont read.

(this is the person who plays USAC)

I know I still didn't answer the USAC question.
Maybe this part will help.

While I was doing R&D on this object to take it from the lab into mass production, we needed a technique to highly polish aluminum. (different grades, 6000 and 7000 grades)

If you have ever seen the surface of AL under a microscope you will notice it looks like the f**king Himalayas. (giving it a rough appearance)

The best way is something called bright dipping but it's mostly very environmentally unfriendly. (buildings will fall down!)
It attacks the peaks of the surface and works really well.

So this world leading company wanted me to develop a process that would achieve this finish but would have none of the environmental troubles of a Nitric/Phosphoric acid mix.

The trick is to use a milder mixture but supply energy in terms of heat and electricity.

I did a ton of research, some of the best stuff was actually from German papers from the 1930s!
(in my experience German scientists are vastly superior to German engineers!)
Trying/perfecting numerous formulas, I managed to take it from the bench to mass production.
All while having an environmentally friendly process.

You can then anodize the product and add colors to the anadoic surface.
Like this.

After sealing, the surface is actually harder than the original AL itself. The company was able to extend the warranty from 5 years to 7 years based on this alone.
