ta dah, here is is, no rigorous selection process, no shortlist of candidates, no track record in the role or as an assistant sd. i am struggling to see this working out.

i'm assuming his role as loans manager was just looking after players loaned out to lesser clubs. sort of a jumped up scout supervisor. we already have one of those in neil adams why appoint another one? seems like we just found him under a rock at arsenal and he said the right s**t at the interview. time will tell but poor appointment imo. but zoe will keep him right.

over promoted and wet behind the ears. loans manager to sporting director is a crazy gear change. maybe he's cheap though
