he basically asset stripped the club and then failed to back Martin O'Neil, who would go on to become a really successful manager (and the making of Leicester).
Lots of "What ifs?", natch, but I don't recall Stringer or Walker giving him much credit at the time for our on the pitch success.
(tho kudos for the land deals, which was where his skillset lay)
