Yes, you're right, McNally didn't deserve the hammering Webber gave him

Particularly now we look back at what they each gave the club in their time here.

Webber's words on McNally did a good job of helping reset fan expectations though, and galvanising the fans support of this "new" model of buying cheap, young players.

Am I giving him too much credit to suggest that's why he did it, rather than to make himself seem good?!
